Nigel MK Chanakira is a holds of a Bachelor of Science (Honors) & a Masters
of Science (Honors) in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. He also
holds a diploma as a prize student in banking from the Institute of Bankers
of Zimbabwe and completed a diploma in Bible Studies at Celebration
College in 2017. Nigel has attended numerous Zimbabwean and
international banking, management and leadership development courses
with institutions that include Oxford and Harvard Universities and, the
Pacific and Haggai Institutes in the United States of America.

Nigel’s career as a professional economist and businessman spans 6 and 25
years, respectively, commencing at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe as an
assistant economist, then as an investment analyst and fund manager at
Bard Discount House Ltd. Nigel subsequently founded, Kingdom Securities
Ltd with his partners in 1994 whilst based in Zimbabwe. He proceeded to
lead teams in his various businesses to start, acquire, merge and
sell stakes in banks, financial services firms and companies locally, in
Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Mauritius and the United
Kingdom. In September 2013, Nigel sold his shares in AfrAsia Kingdom
Holdings Ltd to focus his attention on leadership coaching and mentoring
through Success Motivation Institute (Africa), Kingdom Private Equity and he 

has rendered his services as a thought leader for organizations that include UNIDO, IFC, PUM and the government of Zimbabwe in the investment reform agenda. He is also an alumnus of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the active Founding Curator of all Global Shapers hubs of WEF in Zimbabwe since 2012. Nigel is the chairman of Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe that involved concerned citizens in the fight against COVID-19.
Throughout his business career and primarily as chief executive officer of the Kingdom group, Nigel won more than 25 local and international business awards that include Director of the Year by Institute of Directors of Zimbabwe, twice being recognized for running the Top Company listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and leading the best turn-around company on the ZSE. Nigel is the immediate past non-executive chairman of the Zimbabwe Investment Authority and serves on the board of Celebration Ministries International and is on the leadership council of Success Motivation International (SMI), Leadership Management International (LMI) and Family Motivation International (FMI) in the Waco, Texas, USA having personally coached over 2000 individuals in over 500 organizations.
